Our first interview happens to be one of our amazing Vice-Presidents of #
PhotographersPlace. The one and only Victoria (*
KingdomHeartsOrgXII3). I have known Victoria since 2010, although see has watched me on dA for much longer. Through that time I have seen her improve dramatically and it only be fitting that I start off with her for the interviews.
This format is going to be used for all my interview features that will be posted
I'll first start with the interview section, which will be in a question and answer format.

Photographer for 3+ yearsHow did you get into photography?I mostly got into photography because of my cousin since she took it in college, but then we both found that I adore detail and she showed me a few things, but it was mostly the fact that she showed it to me first.
Which piece from your gallery are you most proud of, and why?Oh lord this is tough! Probably this one though,
Looking Towards Tomorrow. I mostly chose that, because it shows just HOW much I've grown with photography over only 4-5 years with little practice. Somehow, through probably just luck, I was able to capture both depth, beauty and the "professional" look I had been wanting to capture since the first click of the lens.
How did you achieve this?Mostly pure luck this one was, and the fact of the wind being bad, I needed to wait quite a while for the shot, but once that wind died down I was able to get one picture, and this right here is what I got. Pure luck at its best!
Have you ever achieved any awards for your photography?Sadly, no I haven't gotten anything like a DD or award, nor have I entered contests. I entered the Middlesex County Fair last year with three images, but none won even a participant ribbon. And that sorta made me heartbroken, yet I worked harder, trying to capture the one image I know is there somewhere, the one photo that will win me someday a first place, or even a DD!
How long have you been on deviantART? Do you think being here has helped you to improve your skill? Have you been motivated?I've been here on dA since Jan. 2, 2009. So 3 years and yes I've found that over those years I've grown in a good way with my photography thankfully. Truthfully finding other photographers, professional and not, makes me work harder to achieve the images that will make me stand out someday when I aim to possibly go freelance, although I might just stick with working for magazines or something and perhaps do freelance on the side.
Are you self-taught or do you have an education in photography?I'm self-taught. I plan to start college in the fall but since the first year is just mostly basic classes, I won't be doing anything with what I want. But second year I'll be starting with my photography since that's where my heart and soul are at.
What or who inspires you?Nature. I know, strange to probably hear, but i'm being serious. Nature inspires me, and there's a reason why. You look at nature, you see everything from life to death, from start to end. You see how calm it can be but you also see how fast it can be destroyed. You find beauty and peace outside in nature, and that's only some of the reasons it inspires me.
How would you describe your style of photography? Do you think you're unique? My style? Well, i'm not entirely sure what it would be, nor do I think it's unique. Mostly I just do nature photography because I love it.
What are your favorite styles and subjects to work with?Mostly I work with plants and flowers since they were all I ever had around, and they gave me some amazing shots. I started getting into taking pictures of dogs, but I just never really liked it, so I went and stuck with flowers again.
What tips would you give to someone brand new to photography?Tips I would give is don't give up, don't be afraid to mess up some shots. I messed up hundreds of shots, and through trial and error I learned what to do, to hold my breath and to work on not moving when I took the picture. And don't be afraid of what others say, because there's always someone there to support you. Heck, I'll support you if you come to me! Be proud of your pictures, and just never, EVER give up.
Do you have any future aspirations for photography?Someday I hope to work with National Geographic Magazine someday, but if I find somewhere else like a magazine or even for some business I wouldn't mind. But besides that I really don't know haha.
What are some of your pieces you are most proud of?

Moving right along, it is now time to wrap up this interview and feature with the part where I get to choose my favorite images out of Victoria's gallery to feature.

Thanks for reading, and be sure to go check out Victoria's work on her page.
